Curatorial Summary

Aurora Mazzoldi's research belongs to a symbolist, introspective figuration that investigates human relationships, emotional dynamics, identity and inner transformation.

Titles, gestures, postures and light all contribute to the construction of the work's meaning. Her acrylic technique alternates glazes with more incisive fields of colour, while the often rarefied backgrounds concentrate attention on the relationship between the figures and on their symbolic value.
